In honor of fall and a super ugly front door we thought we'd spruce it up a bit with a wreath!

This project only cost $4 WOW!!!!!

Get Organized!

This past weekend I was at one of my closest friends wedding and her sister in law gave me a great idea so I had to share with you!!!

Here's all you need...a pot holder, a button. snack siz zip-lock bags, and a neddle and thread!!!

I got mine from Target and of all places Books-A-Million.
Place your plastic bags in the middle of the pot holder so that they over lap in the middle.
Use a machine or by hand and stich right up the middle.
Add a cute button at the top middle of the pot holder.
Add as many bags as you want!
Great for pens, chap stick, jewelry, medicine, cupons, money....whatever you want!!!!

This project only takes about 10 minutes! Its really fun and super cute!

Enjoy!

Use a Coaster!!!

Want to protect your table from those awful water rings but dont want to spend a ton of money?! Here's how!

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get tile flooring, they are normaly about $0.36! (yeah not even a dollar!)
Even though the pretty shinny ones look great don't get them! The pant won't stay on them very well.

Next...Grab your favorite paint!

Paint whatever you want! Make it yours!

To make sure that your don't coasters scratch your table add felt feet.

Next Just spray them down with a coat of shellac to make them water proof.
There you go! Your very own DIY coasters that your friends and family will love!

I used these for a fun project at a friends wedding shower, the girls had a blast and the coaster were adorable! Get creative and make them your own!

Hello Strangers!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long but as some of you know I just got married 3 weeks ago! The wedding was perfect and I'm hoping to post pictures soon! We also just got internet 2 days ago :)

These next few postings will be all over the place....some about our new home, some about the wedding, and some about some fun crafts! I really hope you enjoy everything to come! :)

Today I thought I would introduce you to the newest member of our family...TANGA!

I want a dog so bad I can hardly stand it but we can't have one where we live :( however we adopted the sweetest little kitten last week!

So cute right!?!

Of course we I had to make her a place to sleep (even though she prefers mine) so here's what I came up with...

What is that you ask? It's an old suitcase! Just grab an old suitcase and toss a blanket or shirt in and BAM home for kitty!

Hope everyone has a great day and I promise to post some new and fun things super soon!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but hopefully this quick and fun project will make up for it! So if anyone is like me they love pillows! I think they can add so much color and fun to a room! However they can be so expensive that it sucks the fun right out of them right?! Well here's a great way to save a few bucks and still have great pillows!

Just go to your favorite store (for me Target) and buy dinner napkins. Mine came in a 4 pack for about $9.99!
Spring for a fun pattern!
Then take a simple throw pillow (try to use old ones that you don't want anymore to save money!) and make sure that its the right size to fit inside of the napkin.
Take two of the napkins and pin up the sides to make sure its some what even. (warning! the napkins will not always match in size but it wont make a huge difference if one side is bigger than the other)
Sew 3 sides of the napkins and then insert your pillow in before you sew up the forth side.
And TADA!!!! great and fun looking pillows for a grand total of $10!!! Now of course your pillows could be more or less than that cost but just make it fun and you'll love adding these to your home!

Let me know what you think!

Great for the girls!

So if you are like me you LOVE earrings! However its hard to keep those cute little studs together and where you can find them right?! Well here's an idea!

Buttons are the world gift to crafters, they make everything alittle brighter!

So here's what you do, take your favorite studs and put them in buttons and then toss 'em in a cute bowl and BAM! instant jewlery organizer!

Cute right!?! Super easy and fun!

Greetings!

Hi there friends! I'm really excited to introduce this blog! I am currently in the process of getting married and moving into our first apartment! (exciting times!!!!!)  We are both artsy people and I consider myself to pretty crafty at times...during this process I'm trying to let the creative juices flow so even though we don't have a lot of money (or any at all) we can still have a place we are proud to call home and still save money during the process.

I will be posting pictures, suggestions and the occasional step by step instructions on some of the things I'll be working on. I hope you will stay tuned-in for some fun projects and maybe a few fun stories!
